Tunes
Ever since I was a child being taught to play piano by grandma, and engaging in the catchy tunes of nintendo games, I have enjoyed music. I have also been writing my own pieces since around 2017, usually through the usage of video game soundfonts. I've put some of my music here in the form of low quality mp3 files, take a gander with your ears!

Video Game Soundtracks
Basically a list of my games, but focused on music
Dastardly Dudes Duty
Due to starting out as a meme game, I initially did not put too much effort into the music for this game, but as I worked on it I got more and more serious. As of June 1st, 2023. There are 76 finished pieces, plus a bunch more that I started working on.
Freestyle
Description I wrote for the music room in-game:
$9 = "Title screen theme. This is the first piece I wrote with the intention of being for this game. I was very happy with how it came out, and thought I might not be able to match the quality with the rest of the soundtrack. It gives the atmosphere I had in mind pretty well. The third section of the piece is supposed to sound like a banjo sort of melody, except with amped up instrumentals."
$9 = "The first stage theme. My aim with this piece was to create a tune with some instrumental complexity; many different instruments doing their own thing rhythmically and harmonically but blending together to create a melody that completely fills your ears entire range, and giving a different experience depending on what instruments you focus on. The results are pretty good, but unfortunatley my mixing skills are sub-par, and the instruments don't stand out as much as I would like."
$9 = "Yonnie Yakyew's theme. I wrote this piece to somewhat mimic the aesthetic of the jingles that play at a baseball stadium, largely through the use of electric organs. It also drifts into a more dance-y pop sound, since it has to be an energetic boss fight theme. Some may not like what I did for the outro, but I do."
$9 = "Second stage theme. At first I thought this piece was lacking, but then I got the idea to add the guitar line that plays along with the melody, which instantly raised this peice from okay to pretty damn good. This was made before deciding what the second stage would look like, so that was determined based on what the music's mood put in my head."
$9 = "Jennie Appleseed's theme. My intention here was to make a song mostly out of classical instruments to fit the nature theme of the boss, but I made it about three seconds in before inadvertently taking the sound in a complete opposite direction. Oh well, it still sounds pretty cool."
$9 = "Third stage theme. Every section of this was originally written on the piano, which sometimes, including in this case, makes it a struggle to get sounding good on computer with my soundfonts. This stage is rather pretty visually and musically for a swamp level, which is a nice change of pace."
$9 = "Luna Doptera's theme. The first boss theme I wrote, it's designed as a pretty straigtforward song, to experiment on what this games music should actually sound like in the first place. As such, it could fit as music for any boss. Being not as good as the rest, I later went back and spiced it up with the instrumental section in the middle, as well as the cool minute-long outro."
$9 = "Fourth stage theme. Many have experienced the feeling of picturing something nice in their heads, and then trying to draw it, only to find the results far inferior to what you had in mind. This is also the case in composing music, but for this song, I actully suceeded at capturing my imagination, it only took an hour of plinking away on my piano's higher notes. This is my second favorite Freestyle piece, it's a great starry night theme."
$9 = "Zoe Carpenter's theme. With it's associated characters snarky personality, I wanted this song to feel unique from the rest of the soundtrack, with a more dissonant, but also more groovy sound. I went with a lot more electronic instruments than normal to accomplish this. When you write a solo for a piece like this, the more out of key notes, the better, as long as it goes along with the rhythm."
$9 = "Fifth stage theme. As the last piece composed for this soundtrack, this was gonna be filler, but I somehow just stumbled upon four or so different great melodic hooks all at once, and this instead become a ridiculously fun and dynamic song. It's a little too lighthearted than what I was considering for the penultimate stage, but I have no intention of changing the track order."
$9 = "Glenn Turner's theme. The most prog rock-like entry to this soundtrack, I went for a bunch of energetic rhythms making quite the cacophany of noise. I actually had made the first thirty seconds of this several years before the rest of the soundtrack, but I didn't have an excuse to finish it until deciding to implement it here. This was going to be the final boss theme, but I made something else that's a better fit."
$9 = "Final stage theme. I wanted a nice foreboding and climactic feel, so that's what I made. It was gonna be very short, but after adding a few extra instruments, I decided it's actually got a very nice sound, and extended it to twice the length. A good mood-setter."
$9 = "Cydnie Jones theme. It started with me making the riff on piano, and when I started arranging in into a full song on the computer, I realised I had something spiecal. This is my favorite song in the game. Being so good naturally brings about being longer than normal, when composing all the different sections I have to put in at least double the effort into every moment to make sure it's all sounds similairly good. Since I like it so much, it had to be for the final battle."
$9 = "Ending theme. A nice peacefull little tune of congratulation for completing the game. Thrown together right before release."
